One of China’s new Blockchain Financial companies is rebranding as it expands into new industries.
The startup, Juzhen Financials, the company that develops blockchain-based clearing and payment solutions, is currently renaming Juzix. The news was announced at the CoinDesk Consensus 2017 Summit held this week in New York.
In the report, the launch indicates that the new name reflects the company’s goal extension, one that sees it move from pure financial applications to other potential applications of technology. Representatives from Juzix said that aviation and health were two areas the company was considering to enter.
Juzix-blockchain Financial company told CoinDesk:
“Our original location was the infrastructure provider for major financial institutions. Now we are becoming service providers and operators for all sectors of use. Distributed data and collaborative computing. ”
Supporting those efforts is Jason Fang, formerly of Fenbushi Capital, and now Juzix’s new global business development manager.
Work continues on a common blockchain platform developed jointly with Tencent’s Webank, as well as the ChinaLedger Alliance and the Financial Blockchain Shenzhen Consortium. At the beginning, these efforts will be made in the next few months after it is completed between the project partners.
“The first code will be released to members of the two alliances in July, and is expected to be released to the public at a later time,” a representative said.
Last September, the company announced that it had raised $ 23 million in a Series round led by Wanxiang Holdings.
